There is a specific time for each age group so please see the times on our audition flyer.

Dancers must be a minimum of 5 years old on the day of the audition.
Dancers must audition with their age group and that age is as of the audition (9-9-23)
Dancers who arrive too late to audition will not be able to audition with an older age group.
Dancers must be currently enrolled in ballet in order to be in The Nutcracker.
Ballet dancers from other studios are welcome to audition
We are looking for pointe dancers as well, and there are pointe roles for different levels of pointe.
The panel will assign a non-pointe role if available if a dancer's pointe work
is not strong enough for one of our pointe roles.

11:45am -1:00pm Advanced Pointe (A1/Adv.) Start with pointe shoes on. Make sure you are warmed up.
1:15pm - 2:00pm Ages 5-8
2:15pm - 3:15pm Ages 9 & up (Teen Ballet and Level 4’s who are not yet 12 audition here)
3:30pm - 4:30pm Ages 12 & up (Teen Ballet, Level 4 & 5 (Bring pointe shoes into the audition with
you if you are en pointe)
4:45pm - 5:30pm Callbacks for Clara/Fritz/Prince.
WHEN ARE THE REHEARSALS AND PERFORMANCES?
Performance dates:
Saturday, November 25 at 7:30 pm and Sunday, November 26 at 2:00 pm.

Mandatory Tech Rehearsals begin
Sunday, November 19. Dancers may not miss a Tech Rehearsal at the Theater for any reason. We will rehearse Wednesday during the day, November 22. Please note that this is the week of Thanksgiving. We will not rehearse on Thanksgiving Day, but all the other days this week are mandatory.

Most rehearsals will begin
Saturday, September 23rd. Pointe roles may begin sooner.
​
Rehearsals for children’s roles
are held on Saturdays and can be any time between noon and 6 pm. At the beginning, we rehearse for 1 to 3 hour blocks depending on the role. Rehearsals become a little longer as we put scenes and acts together.
​
Rehearsals for pointe roles
may be held Tuesdays, Thursdays from 8:15pm to 9:45pm and Saturdays between 11:30am and 6 pm.
