LakeCities Ballet Theatre's extravagant annual production of The Nutcracker has been called a shining gem
in the Lake Cities area. Unfortunately, there are always those who are unable to attend this event. Because of
that, LBT introduced The Nutcracker Lecture and Demonstration Series. With the help of Lewisville
Independent School District's "School Mentoring Program", LBT takes excerpts of the full length The Nutcracker
and brings them to local area schools.

With a full lecture by Artistic Director, Kelly Lannin, the story and brief
history of The Nutcracker is explained to the children as well as how the commitment and hard work of our
dancers was what made it possible for them to reach the level of expertise they have achieved.
This is then followed by a performance of the highlights from LBT's The Nutcracker.
