LakeCities Ballet Theatre Announces
25th Anniversary Season
Lewisville, Texas - August 1, 2008 - This year LakeCities Ballet Theatre announces its 25th Anniversary Season. Under the creative direction of the Artistic Director, Kelly Lannin, who is also celebrating her 25th anniversary with LBT, the LBT artistic staff has worked hard to provide a strong season in honor of their 25th season.
New to the artistic staff this season is Allan Kinzie, who will join the company as Artistic Advisor. LBT will kick-off the season on September 3rd as two members of LBT, Sally Schweitzer and Steven Loch, will travel with Mrs. Lannin to Miami, Florida to perform at the Miami International Ballet Festival.
On Saturday, September 13, LBT invites all area ballet students ages 5 and up to audition for its production of The Nutcracker.
On September 27 and 28, LBT will perform at the Curtain Call Dance Festival in Dallas.
Le Ballet de Dracula swoops in for the season opener for LBT's "ballet with a bite" on October 3rd and 4th.
This community's and a family favorite, The Nutcracker, guaranteed to leave sugarplum fairies dancing in your head during the holiday season will be presented on November 29th and 30th.
As a highlight and closing of this wonderful season, LBT will present its full-length production of Giselle which was named the Number One Dance Event in the Metroplex by The Dallas Morning News when it was last performed.
