Lewisville Lake Symphony
LBT is fortunate and thankful to have this select and diverse group of individuals who with varying backgrounds, talents and skills regularly come together to achieve the one single goal of producing the highest quality of productions. Each individual brings their unique talent to LBT to help in creating the beauty of a classical ballet, as well as the cutting edge feel of a contemporary work.
Larry Danforth
Lighting Designer
Larry holds a Masters Degree in technical theater and lighting from the University of Missouri Conservatory of Theater. Owner of LDStudios, he designed numerous productions in the Metroplex as well as throughout the United States and internationally. Some of his local clients include the Dallas Summer Musicals, Junior League of Dallas, and the Dallas Christmas Festival. Larry has provided concert designs for Wayne Newton, John Denver, Anita Bryant, Andy Williams, The Judds, and Reba. His opera credits include several productions with the world famous Santa Fe Opera Association. Larry is a long and respected member of LakeCities Ballet Theatre and LBT is thankful for his involvement.
Kristin Langford
Stage Manager
Kristin Langford is a charter member of LakeCities Ballet Theatre. She danced with the company for 6 years before leaving for Texas Christian University where is graduated Cum Laude with a BFA in Ballet and a BA in Mathematics. Kristin then performed with the Dallas-based Modern Company, The Dance Consortium, and also rejoined LakeCities Ballet Theatre in 1994. She joined the faculty at the Ballet Conservatory where she teaches Ballet and Modern. Although she has retired from performing, she continues her affiliation with the company as Stage Manager. Without her strong guiding hand behind the curtain, LakeCities Ballet Theatre would certainly be at a loss.
Tom Rutherford
Art Director
Tom began his involvement with LakeCities Ballet Theatre as what he calls, "a walking costume" in the Party Scene of the 1998 production of Nutcracker with his daughter. It didn't take long before Tom began to volunteer his 20 years of services and skills as an Art Director and Property Master of feature films, episodic television, and TV commercials, and apply these skills to ballet. A two Emmy Award winner for the PBS Television series Wishbone, Tom continually strives to bring elements of beauty, humor, and magic to each LBT production. Working closely with Artistic Director Kelly Lannin, the two have become a formidable powerhouse within the north Texas ballet scene producing such acclaimed ballets as the original and mysteriously eerie, Le Ballet de Dracula, the whimsy and fun of Peter Pan, and the cutting edge, multi media spectacle of Docu-Dance. "These are just three that I am most proud of", says Tom, "but still, there is next season!"
Nancy Loch
Costume Supervisor
Nancy Loch has been designing and constructing costumes for LBT for the past 15 years and was the wardrobe supervisor for many of those years. As a former dancer and now as assistant director, Nancy can bring a dancer's perspective to the construction of costumes. She loves this creative outlet and understands that even with all the rehearsal hours possible a dancer still won't look professional unless he/she is wearing a professional costume. Nancy has also constructed costumes for the International Ballet Competition, Youth America Grand Prix and the Texas Miss America Pageant, but LBT is where her heart is.
Heike Cullum
Costume Coordinator
The beauty of a ballet or contemporary performance is directly related to the beauty of the costumes. LakeCities Ballet Theatre is fortunate to have such a talented and enthusiastic Costume Coordinator as Heike. With a smile on her face and passion in heart, Heike continues to surmount this massive job as she supervises a crew of numerous volunteers. Heike is beginning her second season as LBT's Costume Coordinator, although she has been helping with the LBT's costume department for the last 10 years. An avid, and talented seamstress since a young girl, Heike has developed into one of the strongest Costume Coordinator's in LBT's history as she proved last season costuming well over 200 dancers.
Steve Kreiger
Special Effects
Coordinator
Steve Krieger maintains a Federal Explosives License and a State Pyrotechnician's License. Relative Reality was started by Steve Krieger over fourteen years ago as a company designed to meet the constantly changing needs of the Texas film and industry. The company specialized in the design and implementation of Special Effects for Feature films, T.V. movies, and live theater productions. Since 1989, Steve has worked on dozens of feature films and hundreds of television commercials, and built specialty props and rigging for a wide variety of needs. He has been personally responsible for the safety of such big-name celebrities as Dennis Hopper, James Garner, Robert Wagner, and Kurt Russell. Through the years of listening to directors requests and translating writers visions into reality, Steve has always paid careful attention to detail and how to take a project from intangible creative idea to something concrete. He helps to maintain a safe and friendly environment for LBT.
